Macy the Cow!
Hello friends! See me to your right? I am Macy, the cow! I am the current mascot for
the Alpha Mu chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. My first outing with the women of Alpha Mu was to the 2009 Midwest District in Colorado. This was an exciting and fun trip for me while I was getting to know my new friends. I come from a long line of cows who have been the mascot for the chapter. The cow became the mascot for Alpha Mu back in 1998 during a joint event between Tau Beta Sigma, and Kappa Kappa Psi at the Garden Cafe. It was decided upon that Alpha Mu's (or Moo's) mascot should be the cow. That is when the first member of my family Alphie Sr. became the first mascot for Alpha Mu. He is the yellow cow that is in the picture below. He is a little giraffe like. Don't you think? That is because the sisters could not find a cow that was worth of being the chapter's mascot at the time. The socks that she is wearing were a gift from the Delta Kappa chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, which is located at Kansas State
University.
My next ancestor is Alphie Jr. She is the cow in our family photo who is wearing a yellow dress and the bell around her neck. She was a gift to Alpha Mu from the Beta Tau chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, which is also located at Wichita State. Alphie Jr. is a great friend of mine! Her and I always organize our parties we have when a new sister gets initiated. After Alphie jr. joined our band of friends, Mootilda joined in 2001. She is the cow on the far right in our photo. Mootilda is the mother of group; she is also the most stylish with her super snazzy beaded socks, and cow bell. Until a few years ago, that band was the mascot family for Alpha Mu. Like I said earlier, I didn't join the family until 2009. However, ever since I have joined, I have learned so much, and greatly enjoy the company of my cow family, and the women of Alpha Mu. I love seeing my girls grow in the bond, and go on to do great things! I hope you have enjoyed my autobiography! It's time for me to get mooing on home. Have a lovely day!
